Celebration of „Day of Diva“ at Kedžara

The celebration of „Day of Diva“ was held on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Kedžara, a Catholic pilgrimage site on Vran Mountain.

A large number of believers from many parts of BiH and neighboring Croatia gathered at Kedžara. As in previous years, this year’s celebration of „Day of Diva“ began with Mass „Uočnica“, the day before, led by Don Marko Šutalo, pastor of the parishes of Jablanica and Drežnica.

On the „Day of Diva“ with the celebration of many priests, the Holy Mass was led and preached by the Provincial of the Herzegovina Franciscan Province, OFM Miljenko Šteko. The role of Diva Grabovčeva this year belonged to Nada Krešo, a girl who interpreted the words of Diva while the Mass was enhanced by the band Grga from Posušje.

In the last few years, the number of pilgrims to the grave of Diva Grabovčeva has been increasing. Apart from Rama, believers from neighboring municipalities: Uskoplje, Bugojno, Jablanica, Konjic, Tomislavgrad, Livno, Central Bosnia, as well as those from Herzegovinian places: Posušje, Široki Brijeg, Ljubuški, Grude, Mostar also made a pilgrimage to Kedžara.

Through a verbally interpretation and a book by Ćira Truhelka, Diva Grabovčeva “crossed” the borders of Rama a long time ago, and the day dedicated to her crossed the borders of both Rama and BiH. Diva Grabovčeva can be a role model for many, especially the younger generations, how honor and faith are defended at the cost of their lives.
